We are working with a highly respected manufacturer based in Northampton who are investing heavily in their engineering team. Due to growth and investment in new equipment, they’re now seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site.

The Maintenance Engineer Role:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
• Mechanical work including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes
• Electrical fault finding on 3-phase systems, PLC-controlled machinery, and control panels
• Working within a small, skilled team across a range of automated production machinery
• Recording all maintenance activities using the CMMS

Requirements:

• Mechanical Bias with good electrical knowledge
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship trained ideal)
• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Good mechanical knowledge – belts, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
• Electrical skills with the ability to fault find on PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
• Flexible and team-oriented with a proactive attitude to maintenance

Shift:
4 on 4 off (Days and nights) – Every 7 rotations you get 18 shifts off (essentially you work significantly less throughout the year but your holidays are built into your pattern)
