*Candidate Referral Scheme – Terms and Conditions 
 
Effective Date: 08/05/2025 
 
The following terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to The Hire Place Candidate Referral Scheme (“Scheme”). By participating in the Scheme, you (“Referrer”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any of the Terms, you should not participate in the Scheme. 
 
Eligibility 
 
1.1 The Scheme is open to individuals aged 18 and over who refer a candidate (“Referred Candidate”) to The Hire Place for a permanent or fixed-term position. 
1.2 Employees, contractors, and consultants engaged directly by The Hire Place, or any of its group companies, are excluded from participating in the Scheme. 
1.3 The Referred Candidate must not already be registered with The Hire Place at the time of the referral or have been introduced to The Hire Place through another source.

2. Referral Process 
 
2.1 Referrals must be submitted via email to applications@thplace.co.uk and must include the Referred Candidate’s full name, contact details, and CV (or sufficient professional information) and job reference they are being referred for. 
2.2 If multiple referrals are received for the same individual, only the first referrer to introduce a candidate will be eligible for the referral reward.

3. Reward 
 
3.1 Subject to compliance with these Terms, the Referrer will be eligible to receive a £500 reward in the form of retail vouchers (“Reward”) once all of the following conditions are met: 
 
a. The Referred Candidate is successfully placed by The Hire Place with a client in a permanent or fixed-term position; 
b. The Referred Candidate accepts and commences employment with the client; 
c. The Referred Candidate remains in continuous employment with the client beyond the agreed rebate period (the length of which may vary depending on the client’s terms and will be confirmed by The Hire Place); 
d. The client has paid the relevant invoice to The Hire Place in full in accordance with agreed payment terms (including “pay when paid” arrangements, where applicable). 
e. Minimum placement value should exceed £3,000 + VAT.  
 
3.2 The Reward will be issued within 30 days of all the above conditions being satisfied. 
3.3 The Reward is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is available.

4. General Conditions 
 
4.1 The Hire Place reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Referrers and Referred Candidates and may refuse the Reward at its sole discretion if these Terms are not complied with. 
4.2 The Scheme is intended for genuine referrals and must not be used for self-referrals. Referrers may not refer themselves or anyone who is already actively engaged with The Hire Place. 
4.3 Referrers accept that The Hire Place is under no obligation to place any Referred Candidate in employment. 
4.4 Any personal data provided in connection with the Scheme will be used in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy. 
4.5 The Hire Place reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Scheme (or these Terms) at any time and without prior notice.

5. Limitation of Liability 
 
5.1 The Hire Place shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay arising from or connected to participation in the Scheme, including but not limited to delays in payment due to client default or late payment. 
5.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

6. Governing Law 
 
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
