(LB58) Health & Safety Manager

Northamptonshire | £40,000.00 - 45,000.00 Per Annum (20 days holiday, Pension)

An established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety across its operations.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is critical in ensuring full EHS compliance, driving continuous improvement and embedding a strong health & safety culture within a fast-paced production environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead and manage Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) across the business
·         Act as the company’s Competent Person for Health & Safety
·         Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, regulations and best practice
·         Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
·         Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections
·         Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and incident investigations
·         Deliver structured Health & Safety training to employees and management
·         Control and manage contractor safety on site
·         Liaise with external bodies, regulators and auditors
·         Provide clear, proactive EHS advice to senior management

The Ideal Health & Safety Manager Candidate:

·         NEBOSH qualified (essential)
·         Proven Snr Health & Safety experience within manufacturing / production Environment
·         Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards
·         Experience leading audits, risk assessments and compliance programmes
·         Confident communicator, able to influence at all levels
·         Proactive, organised and improvement-driven
