(LB53) QSHE Coordinator

Ponteland, Newcastle Upon Tyne | Competitive Salary / 10% Bonus / 7% pension / 25 days hol

Are you passionate about quality, safety, and continuous improvement?

Would you enjoy being part of a close-knit manufacturing team where your ideas genuinely make a difference?

A well-established UK manufacturer is seeking a QSHE Coordinator to support its ongoing transformation programme and strengthen compliance across quality, safety, health and environmental systems. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, offering the chance to play a key role in shaping processes and standards as the business undergoes significant change.

The Role

Working closely with the QA Manager, you’ll help deliver the QSHE roadmap and embed robust management systems across the site. The role involves developing and mapping new processes, improving documentation, supporting audits, and helping to drive a culture of quality and safety throughout the business.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Supporting the creation, improvement, and rollout of QSHE management system processes and documentation

·         Assisting with audits, inspections, and internal reviews against ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001)

·         Gathering, analysing, and reporting data on quality and HSE performance

·         Supporting investigations into non-conformities, incidents, and corrective actions

·         Assisting in the delivery of training and communication materials to staff

·         Acting as a positive role model for QSHE best practice on site

·         This position reports directly to the QA Manager and will work closely with teams across production, R&D, sales, and quality both in the UK and overseas.

The successful QSHE Coordinator:

·         You’ll need to be methodical, organised, and curious — someone who enjoys improving systems and is focussed on details.

·         You could be an early-career QSHE professional eager to take ownership of meaningful projects, or an experienced quality specialist seeking an interesting fixed-term role with autonomy and variety.

Essential skills and experience:

·         Experience supporting or administering QSHE / quality management systems in a manufacturing or technical environment

·         Familiarity with ISO 9001 (and ideally ISO 14001)

·         Confidence in document control, data collation, and problem solving

·         Strong user of Microsoft Excel and other Office tools

·         Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

If you’re enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to contribute to a company that values quality and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
