We are seeking a commercially minded Electrical Designer to support incoming enquiries and the tendering process. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a career employer within the Electrical Engineering sector.
Once embedded within the role, this opportunity offers the flexibility of hybrid working with up to two days per week working from home.


Design and Tendering Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising directly with the client, you will analyse and translate the customer requirements and data.
• Produce formal costings and commercial data of low-voltage distribution systems for submission of proposals and tenders.
• Deciphering the best solution for the client from the businesses product offerings. 
• Write detailed customer tenders detailing bespoke solutions to complex requests. 
• Own and drive the customers enquiries through the business, ensuring a best in class service is offered.
• Updating of CRM and project reporting.

Candidate Experience / Qualifications:

• Qualified Electrical Engineer (Apprentice / HNC / Degree or a strong appreciation of from experience in a similar role)
• Experienced in reviewing electrical schematics and technical drawings using CAD applications to interpret and analyse data.
• Preferred experience of low-voltage distribution / panel design and builds or related systems.
• Commercially minded, organised and extremely effective communicator. 
• Experienced in communicating directly with the customer and understanding of the "sales process"
• Able to provide accurate information both to and from the business. 
• Business to Business experience from Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, energy, renewables, rail or electrical utilities would all be desirable. 

Additional Information:

• Salary – Discussed at initial vetting stage

• Hybrid working role: 3 office / 2 home (after 3 months settling in period)
• 37 Hour week: 7.30 - 4p.m Mon-Thu / 07.30 – 12.30 Fri
