·         In the medium term, lead and develop a small team of 2–3 buyers.

·         Promote a culture of system discipline, continuous improvement, and accountability within the purchasing team.

The Successful Purchasing Manager:

·         Background in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.

·         Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (D365 preferred), with a disciplined, system-driven approach.

·         Ability to read engineering drawings, interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), and understand technical specifications.

·         Proven track record of ensuring ERP data integrity and maximising system capability.

·         Strong negotiation skills with the ability to challenge suppliers effectively.

·         Hands-on operational experience, with the ability to transition into a leadership role.
