(RH29) Engineering Team Leader (Electrical bias)

Northamptonshire | £47,509.86 Per Annum (DAY SHIFT, Annual + Monthly bonus, Development & Progression)

Are you an electrically biased Engineering Team Leader / Supervisor looking to work for a leading name in the manufacturing sector? Do you have strong planning and coordination skills and experience gained maintaining industrial machinery in a fast-paced production environment?

We are working with a highly respected manufacturer based in Northampton who are investing heavily in their engineering team. Due to growth and investment in new equipment, they’re now seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to lead a Maintenance team of 10.


The Engineering Team Leader Role:
  • Coordination and planning of electrical corrective and preventive maintenance tasks through management and control of a team of 10 Electrical Maintenance Engineers.
  • Monitoring of machine performance, analysis, reporting and development of electrical maintenance scheduling.
  • Team meetings, team and individual skills assessments, KPI’s, performance analysis, implementation of development plans and training.
  • Take ownership and create progress reports on key engineering areas, liaison with manufacturers and suppliers for support and spares.
  • Ensure statutory, regulatory H&S compliance
  • Identify and carry out small improvement projects
  • Management of spares and stock analysis
  • Hands-on support in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
  • Support to the Mechanical Team Leader and coordination of activities.
 
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering, Degree or similar (Apprenticeship trained ideal)
  • Proven experience as an electrically biased,  multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Electrical skills with the ability to fault find on PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Good mechanical knowledge (preferred) – belts, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, etc.
  • Flexible, driven to succeed and development of personal skills.
