The Mechanical Design Engineer Role:

This is a hands-on design role where you’ll deliver technical design packages throughout the product lifecycle. You'll be involved in:

Creating accurate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Siemens NX
Designing injection moulded plastic and fabricated metal parts
Managing CAD data, reviewing designs from suppliers and customers
Supporting prototype builds and customer fitment trials (including site visits, UK and overseas)
Solving engineering challenges with a practical, problem-solving approach
Participating in cross-functional reviews to deliver robust designs on time and to budget

The Successful Mechanical Design Engineer:

Approximately 5+ years of mechanical design experience
Proficiency with Siemens NX including surface modelling (A-class), assemblies, and 2D drawings
Strong background in plastic injection moulding
Understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and automotive standards
A relevant HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
